AJ2 2-1/8" x 0.115R nail is a ring shank fastener. It has the same value as a 10d common nail. This nail has superior holding power over smooth shank nails because the wood fills in the crevasse of the rings and also provide friction to help prevent the nails from backing out over time. It has more than 100% of withdrawal strength than common nails. 

The AJ2 Steel 2-1/8" x 0.115R Ring Shank nail is a type of nail commonly used in sheathing applications. When it says it "replaces the following 8d Common & 10d Common, it means it." See ICC report # ESR-5210.
